Dear SJV Families
I have placed some small housekeeping notes below.
I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable break and I have placed this prayer below to ensure that we all return to school safely.
Do not forget that the first day back from the holidays is Tuesday 18th July.
In prayer, we ask God to surround people experiencing homelessness with His protection. Dear Lord, Your Word often talks about people in need finding safety. We pray today for homeless people, that children and families in need with no place to call home will be guided to places of peace and security. Amen
School Uniform - Semester 2
A reminder that our winter school uniform is in full swing. We have noticed that some children do not have the correct black shoes on (white and white striped runners on non-sport days) and we have put this down to growing feet. Could you please make sure that if your child needs any new uniform items or black shoes that you arrange this over the holidays.
Parent Pick-Up Arrangements
Sometimes parents organise friends or other parents to pick up their children when an emergency strikes. Could you please ensure that you notify the front office if someone different is picking up your child. Staff are very reluctant to release students into the hands of adults that they do not know.
Farewell
I would like to wish Ms Huttley a fond farewell from SJV, as she has accepted a teaching opportunity outside of CE Canberra. Celeste has been a valuable addition to our Learning Support team and I wish her all the very best for her future career in education.
God Bless
Peter Rodda
Principal
Please note - Merit Awards will be handed out at NEXT Friday's morning assembly.

- LOTS and LOTS of blocks!?
Grab them on sale and keep them for 21st July.

A Stall Leader
- Helps set up before/on the day
- Manages the stall (with the help of volunteers) all day
- Helps pack up the stall at the end of the day
- Is the stall contact with the Fete Committee
- Stall Leaders on food stalls are not responsible for making or buying food for their stalls (unless they want to).
A Stall Leader role can be shared between two people if preferred. The Fete Committee provide support and guidance, so there is plenty of help for those who haven't been a Stall Leader before and are willing to give it a go. ✨
Please email sjvfete@gmail.com to volunteer for one of these important roles.
Sponsorship
Do you have or know of a business that can support our event? Sponsorship is crucial to the success of the fete. We would love to receive donations of cash (to sponsor a ride or stall), vouchers, merchandise, products or services for our on-the-day prizes and raffles.
Sponsors receive great benefits in return for their support, including promotional signs, MC mentions on fete day, features in our newsletter and on our fete flyer so they get great exposure! Email sjvfete@gmail.com if you know of a business that would like to be involved.
