This survey is to ascertain if you would be in favour of a week of intensive swimming lessons for you child during the last week of school in Term 4.
Could you please complete this survey by Wednesday of next week.

SJV Tuckshop is open Wednesday & Friday. Orders can be made online via Qkr! A copy of the Menu and Qkr! instructions can be found on the Tuckshop Webpage.
Please remember to bring your WWVP card with you.
Tuckshop Volunteers Needed
The tuckshop is in desperate need of some volunteers, in particular on Wednesday's for this term.
If you can only spare a couple of hours, that would be fantastic. If you have little ones, they are very welcome to come along.
Please contact the front office or fill in the tuckshop volunteer form to let us know you are able to help and when.
Preschool News
Happy Birthday Lucille Mc
Our St John Vianney’s buddies visited us last Thursday morning. The Turtle and Lobster classes are very excited to be catching a bus for the first time next Friday to participate in the St John Vianney’s sports carnival. The Turtle class joined their Happy Camper buddies today for their first Mass at St Jude’s church.
SJV Athletics Carnival
The Turtles and Lobsters will be joining SJV at Chapman Oval for their Athletics Carnival on Friday 18 June. Permission notes were in the notes pockets this week. Please return the note as soon as possible.
ELC Holiday Care
The ELC will run a holiday care program for ELC children during the June/July school holidays. Information about the program and booking forms have been emailed and copies are available in the ELC foyer. If you would like your child to participate in any or all days of Holiday Care, please return the booking forms by 17 June.
Parent Sharing Meetings
The Stingrays reports were sent home with portfolios on Tuesday and the Lobsters and Turtles reports and portfolios will be available on Friday. Parent teacher interviews will be conducted over weeks 9 and 10. Interview time-slots have been displayed on your child’s class window, please write your name on the booking sheet as soon as possible.
ELC Fees – Final Term 2 fees are due tomorrow, Friday 11 June. Please take a minute to check your ‘amount due’ to ensure your account is paid correctly. As it is the end of term, prompt payment of fees is appreciated.

St John Vianney's Youth Ministry Notices
Below are all notices related to faith across the Canberra/Goulburn Archdiocese for young families, children, and high school students!
Fill in Youth Minister at SJV
The beloved Elena Catanzariti who has been working at St John Vianney's PS as a youth minister for the last year or so is spending the next couple of weeks away on university placement from 31/05/2021 (Week 7) – 23/07/2021 (Week 2). In light of her leave, another youth minister – Maria Corson is filling in the Youth Minister role at SJV. Maria is currently completing an Apprenticeship in Aged Care and working as a youth Minister in St Jude's Primary School and OLA Parish. Maria is excited to share in the faith life of St John Vianney's students, teachers and community.
Junior Legion of Mary - Queen of All Saints Praesidium
Grow closer to Jesus through journeying with Mary! In our Parish of the Annunciation, we have a junior Legion of Mary starting up, where all children are invited to deepen their faith through a weekly meeting and doing spiritual works of mercy in union with Mary. The proposed weekly meeting time is every Saturday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the St John Vianney's Presbytery Meeting room 87 Namatjira Dr, Waramanga. If you and your child are interested but the day or time does not suit, message Maria at maria.corson@cg.org.au to discuss!
Youth Group
This term at youth group we have been looking at the virtues - what they are and how we can live better lives by aspiring to embody them. Last youth group we discussed the cardinal virtue of temperance. In short, temperance can be described as the habitual disposition to choose to do the good thing.
Next youth group:

Meeting in St Jude's PS Hall,
4 pm to 5 pm.
Looking at the virtue of Prudence!
Youth group is led by our parishes Youth Council and is for students aged 10 to 15.
Discussion of the virtue of Temperance.
With games, afternoon tea, and a discussion on the fortnightly theme focus, youth group is where students can grow in friendship and faith. Email for any questions. Hope to see you there!
