New Morning Procedure
Over the last 2 weeks we have been trialling no Morning Assemblies on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. The school is cognisant that this time is for key learning and as such we are trying to get the children into class as soon as possible. As such, the children are collected by their teacher on these days and immediately forward into class. We are still gathering as a whole school on Mondays and Fridays as well as holding Fitbitz on both these days.
Spot the Bus Competition
Well done to the Battaglini and MacDonald family who both submitted their photos at the same time for spotting our school advertisement on the bus. No one has claimed 'spotting the side advertisement' yet, so if you see that bus, take a photo and win some chocolates.
Cyber Safety
The school is currently in negotiations with the ThinkUKnow Cyber Safety organisation for a presentation to our Year 5/6 students as well as a planned presentation for parents. An official date will be in next week's newsletter.
Prayers
Can we please keep the Buchanan family in our prayers as the two girls lost their grandmother unexpectedly. I know that this will mean a lot to the family.
Open Day - Saturday 29th May
A reminder that this Saturday the school will be open between 10am and 12noon. Please spread the word of what a great school we are!

Tuckshop Volunteers Needed
The tuckshop is in desperate need of some volunteers, in particular on Wednesday's for this term.
If you can only spare a couple of hours, that would be fantastic. If you have little ones, they are very welcome to come along.
Please contact the front office or fill in the tuckshop volunteer form to let us know you are able to help and when.

The Turtles and Lobsters had a great day at the Athletics Carnival this week. They participated in games and races and came back to the ELC for a relaxing yoga session in between. Of course they also enjoyed their hot dog lunch. Thank you to all the parents who helped with the activities or in the canteen.
Preschool outside space ideas
We are calling for ideas to include in an extension of our outdoor space . In the ELC foyer we have a mud map of the area and you are welcome to jot ideas on the map. Otherwise, please email your ideas or if you have a creative child who would like to provide a plan, please drop them into the preschool.

The ELC enrolment period closes tomorrow, Friday 28 May. Please refer to the 2022 Preschool Information Book on the St Jude's website for information about the preschool enrolment options for 2022. Visit the ELC page on the website to enrol online.
2022 Kind Enrolment – CLOSING SOON
A reminder to ELC families that you are required to complete a primary school enrolment application for Kinder next year. The enrolment period closes tomorrow, Friday 28 May. Visit the relevant school website to access the online enrolment form.
