Enrolment Period - Open Day 4th May 9:30am-6pm
A reminder that the official enrolment period for next year’s intake runs from May 3rd until May 28th. Please go onto the St John Vianney's website https://www.sjv.act.edu.au/enrolment to submit an expression of interest for enrolment or to access an enrolment form.
Enrolment signage around our local district, including the Molonglo region is being placed in high visibility areas this weekend. You will have noted that we also have Action Bus advertising in and around the southside of Canberra during the official enrolment period.
It would be much appreciated if you could spread the word that SJV is a wonderful school with an amazing community, a school where 'we do ordinary things extraordinarily well'.
Have you considered a Catholic Education for your child?
St John Vianney's Primary School is enrolling now for 2022
OPEN SCHOOL MAY 4: 9:30PM - 6PM
PH: 6288 2383
Mothers Day - Friday 7th May 8:15am
We have planned a Covid Safe event this year where you will be able to attend! Last years drive through event was amazing, but it would be even better if you could get out of the car for a coffee and a croissant.
The school has planned for coffee and pastries to be served outside the canteen area and down on the second tier of our playground. This will give mums and dads the opportunity to chat with other parents, eat a danish and drink a cuppa, all whilst their children are playing or eating happily on the blacktop area. Preferably not both at the same time.
Ordering online will be available tomorrow through Qkr!
God bless you and your families

ELC NEWS
On Tuesday the Turtle and Stingray classes joined the school for an Anzac liturgy. Thank you to Woden Valley Gymnastics Club next door for hosting each class for their first gymnastics session this week. The children are all excited for next week's session. We are also looking forward to a visit from our St John Vianney’s Year 5 buddies next Friday. Our buddy programs provide children with connections and familiarity for their transition into kindergarten whilst also providing Year 5 students with further leadership responsibilities. As well as connecting with students, we value the connections with families and friends. We encourage you to come along to our Working Bee this Sunday (please add your name to the list in the foyer) or to volunteer as a Mystery Reader in person or virtually (rosters are on each classroom window). Family and friends are also welcome.
Wacky Walkathon
A reminder that St Jude’s Walkathon is on tomorrow. Your child is invited to wear something a little 'wacky' for the walk - maybe a wig, hat or funny glasses. Your imagination can go as wacky as you like. This is not a uniform free day, just optional accessories that will need to be comfortable enough to walk in. The Stingrays will have their Walkathon on Wednesday 5 May.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Preschool Parent Teacher Interviews will be offered during weeks 9 and 10 of this term. Booking sheets will be available mid-term.
Working Bee
Please join us for a Working Bee this Sunday 2 May from 9am to 12noon. Children are welcome. Thank you in advance for your time in helping to maintain our environment. If you are attending, please add your name to the list in the ELC foyer (Covid requirement).
St Jude’s and SJV Open days
St Jude's ELC and primary school are having an Open Day next Thursday 6 April from 9:30am to 11:30am and 4pm to 6pm. St John Vianney’s primary school Open Day will be held next Tuesday 4 May from 9am to 6:00pm.
