ELC NEWS
This week Mrs Slatter has introduced the children attending the Seahorse Program to a traditional Indonesian musical instrument being the angklung. Mrs Slatter answered the many questions the children had, played twinkle twinkle little start and helped the children create their own music. The angklung is from Bandung, a city in Jawa Barat (West Java province) where Mrs Gould was born. When Mrs Gould attended primary school, it was compulsory for the children to learn to play one of three traditional instruments with the angklung being one.
If you have not already, we encourage you to book a time to meet with your child’s teacher. Please note that you are required to make interview bookings online and the system closes tomorrow.

School Wide Positive Behaviours
The easiest way for families to order and pay for Book Club is to use the online LOOP platform. This will ensure that students get their orders, which are delivered to school for free and that the correct payment is received. Please use the link to register and start your order www.scholastic.com.au/loop.
Families who order via LOOP will receive a free reusable book bag with their second order for the year, and a poster and bookmark for those who place their third order. LOOP is also available as an app, for both Apple and Android devices.
For cash payments, please ensure you have the correct money and that the envelope is securely sealed with your completed order form. This makes it a lot smoother to process all orders and ensures the order can be submitted to Scholastic in a timely manner.
