NAPLAN Online will occur in our school between 12 and 22 May 2020.
NAPLAN Online is a more engaging assessment that adjusts questions to each student’s achievement level. It also delivers more precise results to schools and parents more quickly.
NAPLAN provides valuable information to schools and parents about literacy and numeracy achievement. It supports school improvement processes by enabling teachers to monitor student progress over time and to identify areas of strength and development.
All eligible students are encouraged and supported to participate in NAPLAN testing. Visit www.nap.edu.au to see interactive versions of the test and for more information.

We hope those of you who were able to make the Welcome Picnic got to know some new families. Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the ELC Parent Information Night. Your child’s teacher has their Parent Sharing timetables available for you to add your name to, located next to the classroom door. Please bring with you your completed parent survey. These sharing opportunities provide you time to share further information about your child and family which helps ensure your child’s strengths, needs and interests are at the forefront of our planning. It also provides an opportunity for teachers to get to know parents. If you are unable to attend a Sharing Meeting, please email your child’s teacher.
SJV Playgroup – ELC families are encouraged to come along to the SJV play group for children aged 0-5 on Wednesdays from 9:30am to 11am. There is a fortnightly program and on the alternate weeks the room is made available for playgroup parents to organise their own social catch-up. The Term 1 program is:
19 Feb: Water Play
4 March: Outside Play
1 April: Easter
Emails: If you have not received an email from your ELC teacher, please notify them as soon as possible.
Lunch Boxes - Please be mindful that your child will require a healthy lunch and a fruit or vegetable snack each day. On Wednesdays the ELC will provide a snack from our Fruit and Vegetable Shop so you only need to pack lunch. Due to a child having an allergy to fish, please do not include fish in your child’s lunch.
ELC Accounts – ELC fees are due on Friday14 February. We understand that the account statements are lengthy and can be a bit confusing. A good explanation of the ELC statements can be found at www.myfamilylounge.com.au/statements or check out the tips below.
