Merit Award Term 3 Week 10
Can you believe the SJV Fete is only 9 days away! We’re very excited and can’t wait to see you all there. We’re ramping up to make the big day the best one yet with lots of fun in store. There’s a few things left to tick off on the list..
VOLUNTEERS
We’re still in need of some helping hands to ensure the fete is a fantastic day! If you can help, please email us at sjvfete@gmail.com, pick up a form from the front office.
We’re also in need of:

- Generators
- Small marquees
If you can spare any of these items, please clearly label them and drop to the front office at any stage this coming week.
CAKE STALL
Calling all bakers and home cooks! Start your baking and preserving as cake packaging will be sent home soon for donations needed to make our cake stall a roaring success. The cake stall is always hugely popular and usually sells out thanks to YOU - our wonderful school community who pour their heart and soul into delicious creations.
Donations can be dropped off to the school on Friday 31 October or on fete day.
QKR PRE-FETE SALES
This is your last chance to grab ride wristbands on QKR at the discounted price of $25 per child (they will be $30 to buy on fete day). Get in early for unlimited turns on the inflatable obstacle course, jumping castle, mega rock climbing wall and laser tag! You can even pre-purchase for all your friends and family.

St Jude’s Feast Day, Grandparents Day and Walkathon - Friday 31 October
9:15am – St Jude’s Feast Day Mass (Grandparents are invited to join us)
10:25am – Grandparents invited to visit their grandchild’s classroom/s
11:00am – Grandparents Day shared morning tea (Grazing Box available through Qkr)
The ELC will join the primary school for morning tea with grandparents. ALL ELC CHILDREN WILL NEED TO RETURN TO THEIR TEACHERS AT THE BELL PRIOR TO THE WALKATHON.
11:45am – Walkathon (Hot Dog Meal Deal available through Qkr)
Orders for the Grazing boxes and Meal Deals close at noon on Friday 24 October. No late orders will be accepted. Regular canteen will not be available.
ELC Zoo Excursion – 3 November, 7 November
We’re all going to the zoo! Permission notes are in your notes pockets. Please return them to your teacher as soon as possible.
2026 ELC Uniform Packs
Order uniforms on Qkr! by COB Monday 10 November and it will be ready to collect on Orientation Day.
2026 SJV Kinder Orientation Day – Thursday 13 November
Orientation is from 9:30 – 11am. Emails have been sent to families with further information.
SJV Fete - Saturday 1 Nov
The SJV fete is always a wonderful family day out. See ELC notes pockets for information about ride wrist bands and the raffle.
