School Wide Positive Behaviours
As you would know, our fete is fast approaching, 1 November is only 10 weeks away! The fete aims to bring our community together for a day of fun and pride in our school, and this year we are raising funds to go towards the re-turfing of our oval. We are aiming to raise $20,000, which is a big goal for our small school.
We are reaching out to ask for your support in making this event a success. We urgently need a platinum sponsor to provide the $1500 cash prize for our raffle (1st prize: $1000, 2nd prize: $500). If you, your employer, or a business you know would be willing to sponsor this prize, it would make a tremendous difference.
Additionally, we are seeking donations of gift vouchers and items to include as other raffle prizes. Every contribution, big or small, helps us reach our goal. SJV_Fete_Sponsorship_2025.pdf
Please email sjvfete@gmail.com if you can assist or have any leads. Thank you for your continued support!
and don't forget
Donations drop off
Items can be dropped to SJV reception between 2pm-4pm on Sunday 12 October 2025, the last day of the school holidays. Some of the fete team will be on hand to assist.
Donations make our fete stalls amazing and we’re still in need of clean and good quality items including:
- Toys
- Books
- Second-hand items for the White Elephant stall
- Plants and seeds
- Supermarket paper bags
For the diary - Dominos dough raiser
Domino’s Weston will be donating $1 for every pizza* sold on Thursday the 23rd of October to support the school fete! See the flyer for more details.
Warm regards

A big ol’ thank you to the Year 5 and 6 parents for wrangling such a fantastic evening. Now, kick off your boots and enjoy these rip-roarin’ photos from the night!

HELP NEEDED
Volunteers are the real HERO'S! If you can spare a Wednesday or Friday to team up with Mel in the canteen, we’d be super grateful.
Mel’s on the lookout for extra hands—without enough volunteers, we’ll need to simplify the menu to keep lunch orders moving so the children can eat and get back to playing and having fun.
If you’re up for it, just drop Mel an email or give her a shout with your availability. Thanks a million for helping out! We appreciate you.
Term_3_2025_Canteen_Roster.pdf Please remember to bring your WWVP- (Working with Vulnerable People) card with you.
You can apply for the card via Access Canberra: https://www.accesscanberra.act.gov.au/s/article/working-with-vulnerable-people-wwvp-registration-tab-how-to-apply
