School Wide Positive Behaviours
A huge thank you to the SJV community for this year’s fete!
While the final numbers will be tallied up in the coming weeks, the early calculation is that we raised more than $20,000 to invest in our student’s education and school experience. This means extra educational resources, equipment and opportunity for students.
As was, or more importantly, and impossible to quantify, was the value of the experience had by all and what it says about our community. The joy on kid’s faces, the connections and friendships made by volunteers working together on stalls, and the strong sense all who came would have got of just how special SJV is, were invaluable.
The successful fete is a massive achievement, and our thanks go to all those who helped on the day and in the lead up. In particular, Janice and her Fete team and all other fete volunteers, who gave up their blood, sweat, tears and time (hopefully not to much of the first one!) for many months. Equally, we acknowledge the SJV staff who were there in the lead up and on the day. It speaks volume of their commitment to the students, that teachers and staff gave up their time to invest in our community.
Finally, a call for one last push to sell and return any remaining raffle tickets. These funds will build on what has already been achieved and further support our kids.
