Dear SJV Families,
School Fete – 2 Days to Go
Thank you to everyone who has pitched in one way or another in preparation for our major school fundraiser for 2022. It's very exciting to be able to have our first Fete in 3 years. Special thanks of course goes to our wonderful coordinator Lucy Ohlmus and the 2022 Fete Committee and the many volunteers on the day, without your generous support, these events cannot take place.
Our last shout out is for cakes, slices, biscuits scones for the cake stall and Mad Hatter's Tea Party. If your baking doesnt need to be refrigerated you're welcome to drop off Friday, however if you need to refrigerate your baking, please bring it on Saturday.
The last and most important thing that we need for the Fete is …………….. YOU! Obviously, we need everyone turning up on Saturday ready to be part of the community.
Blessings to you and your family.

Principal
Best day ever @ the SJV fete!

2 DAYS TO GO!
FETE WEEK IS FINALLY HERE! RAIN OR SHINE!
Volunteers and Donations
Many thanks again to our wonderful volunteers. If you haven't received the email which contains the roster and important information about logistics for fete day, please get in touch at sjvfete@gmail.com.
The SJV fete relies on volunteers and donations from SJV families and friends and we can't thank you enough for your efforts towards making the fete a success in the interests of the school and ultimately the students.
All SJV families, teachers and friends are invited to come to the Labor Club at Stirling after the fete (is all packed up!). Tables have been booked from 5.30/6.00pm as many of you may not feel like cooking at home.
Mega cash raffle: This is the major source of fundraising for the school and every ticket sale counts! Our Raffle this year is being launched at the fete. Tickets can be purchased at the Raffles/Cash stall. Next week, we will send home Raffle books for you to sell to friends and family. The Raffle will be drawn Tuesday 13th December at 2pm. It would be fantastic if every family could sell at least one book. To ensure all sold tickets are entered in the drawer, please return all sold and unsold tickets and payment (cash or Qkr) to the front office.
As we have done pre - covid - we will be asking if there are any families that would like to sit at Cooleman Court to sell the tickets
Donations for prizes: Blocks of chocolate for the coin toss, cakes, scones, vouchers, beer, wine, tombola, hamper or craft items are also needed and will be gratefully received!
Donations for white elephant items, toys, children's clothes and plants: If you have any items that you would like to add to any of the stalls, please bring them in Friday - only plants will be accepted on the day of the fete.
Marquees and generators: If any families have marquees that could be used on fete day it would be much appreciated! Please let the front office know or email us at sjvfete@gmail.com.
Fete Hands and Ride Passes: will be sent home with the children tomorrow - if any child is away tomorrow, the fete hands and wristbands can be collected on Fete Day from the Raffles/Cash Stall.

Happy Birthday to Joseph R
Our St John Vianney buddies came for a visit this morning, we enjoyed showing them our tadpoles, playing with play dough, creating ramps for the cars and reading books together.
Tadpoles and Life cycles
Have you seen our tadpoles? They have certainly started growing and we are excited to check in each day to see if any have grown legs. With the arrival of tadpoles, we have many investigations occurring around life cycles and bugs. Do you have any access to stick insects or silk worms you could donate to the ELC? We would love to be able to explore different life cycles in our room.
