Yesterday we were lucky enough to join the primary school in the Musica Viva Concert. The children were fascinated by the different instruments and telling a story through sounds and songs.
Toys – Many children are bringing home toys to school and we strongly discourage this. We have many toys and activities at the ELC to engage the children, so there is no need to bring in personal items. Home toys are causing many disruptions to class time and we are asking for your help to ensure your child respects this rule.
Book Week Dress Up - The annual Book Week Parade will take place next week, this year’s theme is ‘Reading is my secret power’. Turtle and Lobster children are invited to come to school dressed as a book character on Friday 23 August and will be joining the primary school parade in the hall at 9.15am. The Stingrays dress up day will be on Wednesday 21 August and will parade in the corridors of the primary school at 9:15am.
Plastic bottle tops and bread bag tags – The ELC are collecting plastic bottle lids and bread bag tags to support a non-for-profit community initiative. Envision Hands uses 3D printing to turn plastic waste into mechanical hands and arms for kids. You can find a collection bucket at the front desk if you would like to contribute.

Canteen Volunteers Needed
The canteen is in desperate need of some volunteers, in particular on Wednesday's for this term. We also need volunteers for Term 4.
If you can only spare a couple of hours, that would be fantastic. If you have little ones, they are very welcome to come along.
Please contact the front office or fill in the canteen volunteer form to let us know you are able to help and when.
