Fete News Update

SJV School Fete is one of the events of our calendar that the students really look forward to. Our last fete was 2019, our Year 2 and Year 1 students are yet to experience the fete.

We are hoping to go all out and make this a Fete to remember. Below is a weekly schedule of when you can bring in your donations. 

Can everyone take note that next week is 'Book Donation Week'.

Please drop your books off to Jet in the Front Office.

ELC NEWS

Happy Birthday Archie A and Geordie H

Floriade

Every year we participate in the Rotary Club Floriade Gnome display, as part of this the ELC would usually travel out to Floriade to see our gnomes and the beautiful surrounds. Unfortunately, this year we will be unable to travel out to Floriade for an excursion due to covid safety measures. We will however be creating our own mini Floriade here at the ELC. Keep your eyes out for what will be popping up in our gardens very soon.

Book Week

Stingrays are invited to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character on Monday 22^nd August. Lobsters and Turtles will participate with the Primary School on Wednesday 24^th August.

Mystery Reader

Our Mystery Reader program has always been hugely successful in the past and we are excited to be able to offer it again. Each week a family member (parent, grandparent, older sibling etc) comes in to read a book from home to the class. It is a complete surprise who our mystery reader is each week and the children get such a huge thrill having family in the classroom. If you would like to come in and read to the class, please add your name to the roster on the classroom window. If the days/times listed do not suit you or if the roster fills up before you get to it, please email your child’s teacher and we can arrange an alternate time. The key to this is the word mystery, so make sure you keep it a secret from your child. 

Covid and Illness

As you are aware there are a number of illnesses circulating in the community at the moment as well as Covid. Please ensure you follow all the usual precautions, keep your children at home if they are unwell and let the ELC office know of any Covid cases. If you require any RAT kits please ask at the front office.

SJV Tuckshop is open Wednesday & Friday.  Orders can be made online via Qkr!  A copy of the Menu and Qkr! instructions can be found on the Tuckshop Webpage.
