School Wide Positive Behaviours
Year 2 have been reading a book called Turtle Song about a green sea turtle. The students were able to write a narrative and include information. Here are a few…….

The Beautiful Green Sea Turtle and Me!
Once upon a time there was a green sea turtle nest. One of the eggs was called Bungi. That night, the eggs hatched but it was dangerous because there were gulls and crabs ready for a feast.
As Bungi and the other turtles entered the water, there was more danger. Seals, sharks and fish were on the hunt. Bungi and some other turtles made it but others didn’t.
As Bungi entered deeper water she had to watch out for dolphins. Then Bungi ate sea grass and grew.

Turtles have thick shells.
Another classic moment from the children of year 2!!
Mrs Isbel was talking to the children about the St Vincent de Paul organisation and all the kind things she does to help people.
Donating clothes, toys, crockery etc was mentioned and one of the
girls in 2JB said “Can I donate my brother?” It was a very funny and light moment amongst a very sad and common need in our community.
The children are keen to clean out their cupboards and donate any unwanted toys, clothes and blankets and take it to the Vinnies shop at Cooleman Court.
We thank Mrs Isbel for her time, knowledge and gentle way of imparting information to our class.
After two years on hold, the SJV Trivia Night is back? Join us for a great night out and get to know other members of the SJV Community. Invite your family and friends to join us as well.
Trivia Night Prizes
The organising committee are seeking donations to use as prizes and as a silent auction for the upcoming trivia night on 17 June.
Gift cards, vouchers, artworks, unused Christmas gifts, bottles of wine, gift baskets…. anything you can think of is warmly welcomed. Do you have a connection to a local business? Businesses will receive a certificate of appreciation and be featured in our school newsletter.
Donations can be left at the front office. Thank you for your support!
