ELC Tea Towel Fundraiser – Started your Christmas shopping yet? The ELC will be creating a tea towel featuring self-portraits of all of the ELC children. It will make a perfect Christmas present and a wonderful reminder of your time at the ELC. Tea towels will be available for $15 or 3 for $40 (cash or QKR!). Order forms are in your notes pockets and are due back with payment by 14 August.
Plastic bottle tops and bread bag tags – The ELC are collecting plastic bottle lids and bread bag tags to support a non-for-profit community initiative. Envision Hands uses 3D printing to turn plastic waste into mechanical hands and arms for kids. You can find a collection bucket at the front desk if you would like to contribute.
Hats on – From 1st August, teachers will be monitoring the UV levels. When UV reaches 3 the children are required to wear hats outside. Please ensure your child brings a hat to school with their name clearly labelled on it.
Gymnastics Term 4 – Thank you for providing feedback on the gymnastics. There was an overwhelming response in support of the ELC children participating in another term of gymnastics which will take place in term 4.
Book Week Dress-Up – The annual Book Week Parade will take place in Week 5. This year’s theme is ‘Reading is my secret power’. Turtle and Lobster children are invited to come to school dressed as a book character on Friday 23 August and the Stingrays dress-up day will be on Wednesday 21 August.
WARAMUNCHIES Canteen is open Wednesday & Friday. Orders can be made online via Qkr! A copy of the Menu and Qkr! instructions can be found on the Canteen Waramuchies Webpage.

Canteen Volunteers Needed
The canteen is in desperate need of some volunteers, in particular on Wednesday's for this term. We also need volunteers for Term 4.
If you can only spare a couple of hours, that would be fantastic. If you have little ones, they are very welcome to come along.
Please contact the front office or fill in the canteen volunteer form to let us know you are able to help and when.
Best day ever @ the SJV fete!
