This will be the final newsletter for the year. As such, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your wonderful support in what has been an extraordinary year. The fact that a vaccine for primary-aged children is imminently available gives everyone great hope that life might soon be about to return to normal.
Intriguingly though the Pandemic, despite all the interruptions to our normal life, has brought new learning's and opened our eyes to the possibilities of doing things differently.
I would also like to thank all our families, students and staff for how everyone returned from Lockdown, adhering to the guidelines the school implemented, this support kept everyone safe. I for one, will celebrate returning to something resembling a new normal.
Working Bee - Sun 30th January
I am hoping that I see you all on Sunday 30th January 2022 at 9am for a short Working Bee to make our school shine, ready for the return of our wonderful students. Your help would be very much appreciated.
God bless you and your families, I hope you enjoy celebrating the birth of Jesus, safe and sound wherever you may be.

Message From Jo Reed - Special Projects/Assistant Principal (Acting)
Dear St John Vianney’s Community,
It has been a privilege to serve this community as Assistant Principal (Acting) and Special Projects. I have enjoyed every moment working with the staff, students, and parents. Your continued support and trust in our school underpins our success.
I wish you all the joys and blessings that Christmas brings. The birth of Jesus renews our hope in realising God’s plan for each of us. It is a special time as family and friends get together. I hope you are able to gather with your loved ones and share special stories and a meal.
“Glad tidings of great joy I bring to you and for all human kind.” (Luke 2:10)
I hope your travels over the holidays will be safe. Thank you for your support of myself and St John Vianney’s, especially during remote learning this year.
Best wishes, Happy Christmas and may you have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Regards
Jo Reed
Special Projects/Assistant Principal (Acting)

ELC NEWS
Happy Birthday Heidi S, Lucas and Chloe
Well, that is a wrap.
This year has provided many challenges to us all and our community really banded together and made this year a memorable one filled with fun and laughter. The ELC team would like to thank our 2021 children, families and the wider community for your participation and support throughout the year. We regret that we have not been able to invite you into the centre as often as we would have liked and are very thankful for your participation and connection through online learning via SeeSaw.
We thank our year 5 buddy classes and their amazing teachers for providing time and activities that have built connections and St John Vianney’s year 5 students who regularly visited the ELC before the pandemic put a stop to it.
As well as farewelling the ELC children who are moving on to kindergarten, the ELC team is saying goodbye to Miss Madaffari and Mrs Pentland. We thank them both for all that they have done in their time here and wish them a smooth transition to their new schools.
Uniform free day tomorrow
ELC Children are welcome to dress in Christmas cheer tomorrow for the last day of school.
End of Year Fees
There is often a small difference between the CCS estimated on your account and the CCS actually approved for your child, resulting in small amounts owing at the end of the year. If this applies to you, we will send a follow-up statement and would appreciate if payment could be made promptly.
Fifth Lane Photography
Thank you to the families who supported our ELC by updating their family photos. We received $20 from each booking as a donation.
