Some of the children in the morning Seahorse Program have created a collaborative entry to the Koori Curriculum NAIDOC virtual art competition. The children talked about the colours of the Aboriginal flag that they chose to be the background of their creation. We all belong in Australia, our land. Children decided to include flowers with their faces as the centre. Tree bark was decorated with paint and represents the flower stem. After discussing the importance of symbols, the children decided to paint their own symbols around Australia telling each other of their meanings. Always was, always will be. It would be great if you can follow the link and give the Seahorse artwork a vote! https://kooricurriculum.com/pages/naidoc-virtual-art-competition#g843804
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday at our working bee!
Working bee this Sunday from 10-12. Jobs include weeding, tidying and cleaning sheds and spreading tanbark. We also have some broken bikes that require fixing. Family Reflection sheets: Thank you to all of the families who have returned a family reflection sheet. If you have not yet, it is never too late. In reflecting on the feedback on our changed 9am drop off, we will open a vote for families and children that will guide our ongoing 9am drop off routine.
