The SJV School Community Council is embracing and forging forward with what has become the new normal. The school community’s ability to bounce back after the challenges faced this year is a real testament to the resilience of the children and the broader school community. The support we have and continue to provide each other will ensure our ability to keep moving forward during these uncertain times. 

 The SCC convened this week are looking for further volunteers to fill a number of roles and contribute to the continued success of the school:

• SCC Treasurer: Do you love playing the banker in Monopoly? Are you great with budgets? Do you have financial/accounting experience? Duties include assisting with the annual budget along with reporting revenue and expenditures to the SCC.

• Events Coordinator: Do you love planning? Are you inspiring with fantastic interpersonal skills? This role includes the planning of the yearly events calendar as well as leading groups of volunteer parents with the planning and execution of a range of community and fundraising activities.        

• Class contact: We still have a few classes who do not have a dedicated class contact. Tasks include collating/disseminating a class contact list, being a point of contact for any parent/class queries and organising class gatherings.
