Our Remote Learning Headquarters
Calling all remote learners.
Let's have a look at some of the exciting things we have done this week.
Year 1 & 2
In Year One and Year Two this term, we are looking at how things change. We have been observing how a mealworm in a warm cupboard and a mealworm in the fridge go through the life stages.
The children have been excited to record their observations as well as write stories about their new friends.
Music
Last week, Year 3/4 enjoyed their first 'Q & A Friday' session with pilot, Brendan Flanders.
Earlier in the week, students were introduced to who the guest speaker would be and they had to submit questions on Google Classrooms. The teachers then shared these with Mr Flanders to answer in a pre-recorded video.
Year 3/4 created thoughtful and interesting questions! Mr Flanders did a fantastic job answering these and the children enjoyed listening to his talk in Google Classroom.
5/6
Lilly: Awesome, fun, delicious. It was fun to do something with people I don't normally hang out with.
Lucia: Fun, interesting to see how everyone is going to do it at home.
Chloe: Delicious. It was really fun. I don't bake that much so it was fun to do something different.
Tommy: It was fun to eat the cake! It was fun to cook as well.
Nikita: It was really fun and easy to make. It tasted really good!
Week 3 Italian: il ballo del qua qua (Duck Dance)
In celebration of dance like a chicken day (14 May), in Italian this week children danced like a chicken to an italian duck song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvAwmF8Y7Ok
