...and the countdown is on! As students return to school buildings, teachers and school communities will face a daunting task: pulling their communities back together while helping students get back on track.
Families have spent months getting use to, well trying to get use to isolation and home schooling, now we are faced with getting use to a new normal. Schools will be different places, new cleaning and social distancing protocols aside, a lot of 'school stuff' may need to be relearned or reevaluated. Some friends may be missing, learning looks different again, readjusting to not being with Mum or Dad constantly and needing to follow school rules again.
We don't and probably won't know the affects of Covid, bush fires and other environmental events on children and families for many months to come. however changes in behaviour is usually the first indication that children are not coping or are under stress. Please keep a close eye on children and family members and ask for help if you feel they are not coping.
I have attached a CE family wellbeing and support resource fact sheet to assist families. If you are concerned at anytime please contact your child's classroom teacher or the Leadership Team for support and guidance.
