A message from the Assistant Principal and Mrs D's "Thought of the Week"

with Nina De Rosa

Grandfriends Day Celebration

Last Thursday, our school was filled with joy and love as we welcomed so many cherished grandparents and grandfriends to celebrate with us. It was heartwarming to see the special bonds between generations as children proudly shared their school day with their treasured family members.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Stilling and the Kinder class for leading a most reverent and beautiful prayer celebration, honouring the incredible role grandparents play in our lives. The spirit of gratitude and connection was truly felt by all.

Following the celebration, families enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch and spent quality time reading together—creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make Grandfriends Day so special!

Celebrating World Teacher's Day

A message from the Community Council -

World Teachers’ Day Celebration

World Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 25th October, a day dedicated to recognising the incredible contributions of our teachers, who shape, guide, and inspire our students every day.

On behalf of the SJV community, the SJV Community Council organised a special delivery of cupcakes to show our appreciation for our amazing staff to thank them for their hard work and dedication to our children. Special thanks to Ash Donley (Year 2 and Kindy Yr 1) from My Sweet Lady for creating these delicious treats!

SJV Community Council

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to our community for the wonderful cupcakes, thoughtful messages, and lovely cards we received last week.  It was truly a delight to feel recognized in such a meaningful way.  We are incredibly fortunate in our profession to experience the immediate joy of gratitude from the wonderful children we teach, often reflected in their smiles.  A big thank you to all ouf staff for your unwavering hard work and dedication!
