At SJV, we use a 'Token System' to highlight and celebrate students who consistently follow our school rules and demonstrate high-quality behaviour.

When staff members are ‘secretly scouting for superstars' to observe students doing the right thing, they are awarded a yellow token as a positive acknowledgement. These tokens can then be 'traded in'.

Here is the progression of our Token Reward System:

• 10 Yellow Tokens = 1 Red Token

• 5 Red Tokens = 1 Blue Token

• 3 Blue Tokens = 1 White Token

Reaching White Token status is a significant achievement. It means the student has shown 150 positive behaviours, acknowledged by a variety of staff members.

To celebrate this milestone:

• White Token recipients enjoy a special canteen lunch with Mr Rodda.

• Year 6 students, as leaders of the school, have the option to choose a takeaway lunch, often from McDonald’s.

Tokens accumulate over a student’s entire time at SJV, so there is the potential to receive multiple tokens and rewards throughout their school journey.

We acknowledge and congratulate our Year 3 and Year 4 Students that celebrated their White Token Status with Mr Rodda.
