Update from SJV Community Council

Please join the SJV Community Council on Monday, 8 September from 6:00pm-7:30pm for the annual open Council meeting. The meeting is held at the school and the agenda will focus key priorities for the school for 2026 and beyond.

We have an exceptionally strong community with a high level of engagement and involvement from across all year groups. The Council is always open for feedback, suggestions and input both to support our kids and ensure our community remains strong. In our first meeting for Term 3 we discussed the upcoming fete, fundraising and current financial commitments. Following feedback from a number of families we also approved an allocation to purchase more sports equipment for students.

Also, this Friday, the Council is pleased to once again be running the coffee machine ahead of Assembly. If you’re staying for assembly or are just keen for a chat, swing by and grab a cuppa. We look forward to seeing you there.

Finally, a reminder that the Council has registered SJV with the Southern Cross Club community rewards program. If you’re a member of the Southern Cross Club, just nominate the school as your designated community reward partner and 7.5 cents for every dollar spent will go to the school. This means that you can enjoy a tipple of your choice and schnitzel and know that you’re doing it purely for the good of the school and our kids!
