I used to sit upon a shelf,

With all my bookish friends.
We’d whisper tales and share some laughs—
The fun just never ends!

But now I’m under your bed alone,
With socks and bits of fluff…
I miss my friends, I miss the shelf—
This hiding spot is rough!

No need to feel upset—
I just want to go back home...
