Last night Maryam represented the school in the Rostrum quarter finals where she competed against students from 7 other schools.

Maryam presented her speech with confidence and clear articulation. She got plenty of laughs, in all the right places from the audience!

We are so very proud of you Maryam!

100 days of school ....  is a celebration of the 100th day of study in the school year. It offers students and teachers time to reflect on the work undertaken by students, and lets schools celebrate achievements and milestones.
This symbolic day is an exciting event to be a part of, and helps students celebrate their education in a positive way. The day allows for all sorts of fun activities and lesson themes.
How did kinder celebrate at SJV their 100th day of school?
. They wrote and drew pictures of what they would like when they are 100 years old.
. What they would eat and play and how many grandchildren they would have.
.  What colour their hair would be.
Some of the children said they would have 20 Grandkids and then the extreme was no grandchildren!!!
. The children counted 100 objects to see what 100 of something looked like.
. Re-read the very first book that Mrs Stilling read to them on their first day of school - "First Day"  by Andrew Daddo and "100 days of School"  by Deborah Frenkel.
.  To finish the 100th day of kinder, the children had a party in the afternoon.
