ELC news
Happy Birthday Banksy H
Thank you to Sean and Steve from the ACT Rural Fire Service who came out Friday to talk to us about fire safety. We were able to sit in the truck and use the water hoses to put out a pretend fire.
Illness
There are lots of illnesses in the community at the moment including Covid, RSV and influenza. As always, it is important to keep children at home if they are unwell and advise the ELC.
Reports
Stingray portfolios and reports were sent home yesterday, Turtle and Lobster portfolios and reports will be sent home tomorrow. Parent teacher interviews will be held over weeks 9 and 10. Booking sheets are on the classroom doors. Please return your child’s portfolio at the interview so that we can continue to build on their ELC learning journey.
The Resilience Project
As part of our Early Years Wellbeing Program with The Resilience Project, there was an Authentic Connection Webinar for Early Years Parents & Carers with Hugh van Cuylenburg. In this presentation Hugh speaks about supporting your whole family's mental health through connection and vulnerability.

As I have mentioned before, I am an avid listener to The Imperfects podcast which is run by the creators of The Resilience Project. I highly recommend listening to this week’s episode which discusses healthy boundaries and why understanding, implementing, and protecting healthy boundaries is good for all of us…even if it does feel a little awkward.
