Bringing the school community together

SJV Community Garden - The Meeting Place

With assistance from the ACT Government under the Parent Engagement Grant Program, SJV is creating a Ngunnawal and native plant garden.  

The SJV School Community Council is excited to announce that the school has received a significant grant from the ACT Block Grant Authority to help build our school community.

These new funds will be used to:

• build a new community focussed Indigenous Garden (with an initial working bee this Sunday!); and
• purchase a coffee machine to support school events and opportunities for families to come together at low/no cost.

The Council meets again on Monday, 13 May – at this meeting we will confirm plans for the 2024 fete and other community events. If you have any ideas, suggestions or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out either via sjvparent@gmail.com (or in person at drop off/pickup).
