At the end of last year, we upgraded our playground to include a mud kitchen, a stage theatre and a market place cubby house.

Everyone has enjoyed playing with the new additions since the beginning of the year and just last week, our new kitchen accessories arrived and the children have been excited to mix up mud pies, cooking up a storm and channelling their inner Jamie Oliver!!

Roll up Roll up there's a Puppet performance happening at the stage theatre - free shows happening at lunch and recess with beautiful puppets donated by the adorable Janice Spackman.

The idea behind the market place cubby house is to encourage the children to be budding gardeners, with plants to water and watch grow, the cubby house will also be a favourite space for them to show their creative side.

 

 

We had an unexpected visitor last week at the back of the school, munching on some tasty grass - the children couldn't believe their eyes when they realised it was a real life kangaroo!!!

Some of the children suggested that SJV could bring him into the playground and can keep him/her as a school pet and others remarked that they wished they had a pouch like the kangaroo, so they could keep their snacks and toys in there!!!

Hopefully our hoppy friend found their family after a journey into our backyard and maybe one day we might see our friend again.
