Year 5 and 6 classes are learning about Ben Nicholson, be inspired to create an artwork in a similar style. Ben Nicholson's art was inspired by an old fisherman called Alfred Wallis. Wallis had never been to art school and painted in a primitive way with house plants and bits of old cardboard. Nicholson used these materials in his work but made his art modern using geometric shapes like the styles of the artists Picasso and Braque.
