Children Week Awards

Thank you to the organisers of Children's Week ACT for inviting SJV to be present to the awards ceremony yesterday.
Held at the Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre, the event featured some wonderful guest speakers including ACT Children's Week Patron Margaret Reid AO, Children's Week Ambassador and accomplished author Jackie French and ACT Children's Week President Mike Payne.
CE Director Ross Fox presented a number of awards, but was especially delighted to present an Intergenerational Contribution Award to our one and only Mrs Rosemary Howard, who was recognised for her ongoing work at SJV.
Mrs Spackman also received an award that will be presented at school.  Mrs Spackman was presented with a significant support award because of her work supporting the children with Sustainability.
World Teacher's Day

Tomorrow we celebrate all things teachers.  At SJV we have wonderful dedicated teachers,  who couldn't do their job as successfully without our support staff, CSAs, admin, and relief staff.
Therefore, THANK YOU, SJV staff you are truly special people.
' To the world, you may just work in education.
But to your students, you are a hero.'
