2023 SJV Fete - Best Day Ever!

We are 8 weeks away from this year’s Fete, being held on Saturday 4th November, 10am-2pm.

What it entails

White Elephant Stall

Friday set up –

· sort out, display and price items

On fete day –

· Sort out, display and price items

· Point of sale for donated white elephant items

· Pack up any remaining items

Chip on a stick

Friday-

· Spiral potatoes

On fete day-

· Set up stall

· Spiral potatoes

· Fry chip on stick

· Season per request

· Point of sale for chip on a stick

· Clean and pack up stall

Laser Tag

Friday –

· Test gear and ensure charged

On fete day-

· Set up obstacle course (hay bales and boxes)

· Collect entry tickets

· Time keeper of game

· Assist with pack up

Chocolate (Prize) Wheel

Week of Fete –

· Create hampers/baskets with donated items

On fete day-

· Set up wheel and display hampers

· Point of Sale for tickets

· Hand out prizes to winners (MC will spin and announce winning numbers)

· Assist with pack up

SPECIAL DROP OFF for Toys, Books and White Elephant donations: Sunday 8 October 2-5pm. This is the last Sunday of the school holidays.

The black top gates will be open allowing you to drive in, giving you quicker and easier access to our drop off point.

UNIFORM FREE DAY FRIDAY WEEK 9 – 15^th September

In exchange for a donation to the fete, come in your free clothes on Friday 15 September.

We are looking for the following items:

Soft drink
Jelly crystals
Chips
Cake mix
Biscuits
Mixed lollies
Lolly pops
Chocolate blocks
Fancy tea or coffee
Wine/beer/spirits (adults must drop to the front office)

Mega Cash Raffle

Our Mega cash raffle tickets will be available for sale from week 10. First prize is $1000 and second prize $500.

In addition to selling tickets to family/friends/colleagues we also sell tickets outside Cooleman Court to the general public on weekends for an hour or two up until the draw date in early December. The Mega Cash raffle is our major fundraiser and selling outside Cooleman Court is integral to the success of the fete and how much money we raise for our school. We are looking for someone to coordinate this activity, as well as people to assist in selling raffle tickets on the weekends (assistants can help one weekend or several).

Coordinating involves collecting raffle tickets, ipad and square reader from the Front Office, determining days and times for the selling of raffle tickets, informing the Fete Committee of intended selling days/times to allow for communication to the school community who can volunteer to assist, selling raffle tickets at Cooleman Court.
