Principal's Message

Dear SJV Community

In discussion with staff there is an opportunity for SJV to return to single stream/straight classes in K-6, from the beginning of 2024 onward.

The original decision to go multi-age/composite was due to:

providing alternative social and learning opportunities and
the large disparagement between some class sizes (eg. 12 in Year 3 and 32 in Year 4).

There are positives for both multiage/composite classes and for single streamed classes, so we review our class structure annually. Due to our current numbers and what we can predict into the future, we now have an opportunity to make a renewed considered choice.

We would like you to provide your feedback about your preference in:

Single streamed/straight classes all the way from K-6 ,
keep things as they are or an alternative combination.

We ask that you select a preference and then provide a considered reason. The reasons will impact the decision as well as the majority preference.
