The Stingray class pranced around the corridors of the primary school on Wednesday for their Book Week parade. This year’s Book Week theme is ‘Reading is my secret power’ so the children enjoyed dressing up as super heroes or characters from books. Amongst the teachers were Three
Little-ish Pigs and a Big Bad Wolf. This has built lots of excitement for the big Book Week parade in the primary school hall tomorrow, Friday 23rd at 9:15. Turtle and Lobster children are invited to dress up and parents are welcome to come along to watch.
Fathers Day Stall – The Fathers Day stall will be held next Friday 31 August (Tuesday 27th for the Stingrays). The children are invited to bring along a few dollars in a labelled envelope to purchase a gift for dad.
Toys – Many children are bringing home toys to school and we strongly discourage this. We have many toys and activities at the ELC to engage the children, so there is no need to bring in personal items. Home toys are causing many disruptions to class time and we are asking for your help to ensure your child respects this rule.
Plastic bottle tops and bread bag tags – The ELC are collecting plastic bottle lids and bread bag tags to support a non-for-profit community initiative. Envision Hands uses 3D printing to turn plastic waste into mechanical hands and arms for kids. You can find a collection bucket at the front desk if you would like to contribute.
Dance concert video – If you would like a copy of the Dance Concert video, please send in a USB with your child’s name and class clearly labelled on the envelope.
