Learning Corner - A Message from the Assistant Principal
The general opinion about work is this: no one wants to do it. However, have you ever heard of a week-long holiday that encourages happiness at work? International Week of Happiness at Work is all about bringing happiness back into the workplace. If work is part of our daily lives, then one of the best ways to live a happier life is through being happy at work. Whether you work in a big corporation or at a small company, you can find happiness. I'm hoping that all employees have found some happiness in their workplaces this week that can be found throughout their careers.
With the holiday's fast arriving we assume with certainty that every teacher is a little happier this week. Of course this downtime is an opportunity to revive ourselves and rediscover the happiness, in the impact we make in young people's lives.
Wishing all our families a great Term 3 holiday. Travel safely and enjoy quality family time together. A perfect opportunity to sell some raffle tickets to extended family and friends.
Mrs D’s ‘Thought of the Week….’
"Happiness is a critical factor for work, and work is a critical factor for happiness. In one of those life-isn’t-fair results, it turns out that the happy outperform the less happy. Happy people work more hours each week – and they work more in their free time, too." - Gretchen Rubin
