Happy Birthday to Jesse N, Henry C
A big thank you to everyone who was able to support the St Jude’s School fete on the weekend. It was a fantastic community day and we hope you had a great time. This week we had a wonderful celebration of Harmony Day with children wearing traditional dress to represent their cultural background, or wearing orange for Harmony. We were also very excited to have a visit from Peter from Canberra Reptile Zoo with his reptile friends including a tree frog, turtles, a crocodile, lizards and snakes. Would you hold a python like Mr Luc?
Project Compassion
Throughout Lent we are learning about the importance of doing kind things for others. We are participating in Project Compassion to help people living in poverty. Children can bring in gold coin donations to contribute to their class Project Compassion box.
Gastroenteritis
Our Gastro outbreak is now declared over. As always, please continue to keep children at home if they are unwell and advise the ELC office of symptoms.
Feast Day Excursion to SJV
St Jude’s and St John Vianney’s schools will join together tomorrow, Friday 24 March, to celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation. We will take a bus to SJV to celebrate our parish feast day with a church service, a picnic lunch and buddy activities. Please return your permission note to the ELC as soon as possible.
Athletics Carnival
The St Jude’s Athletics Carnival is on Thursday 30th March. We will take a bus to Woden Park Athletics Field. A Sausage Sizzle Meal Deal will be available on the day and order forms are due back by Monday 27th. Please return your permission note to the ELC as soon as possible.
