On Monday the Stingrays and Turtles attended Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. We learnt this feast day is important because it reminds us to contemplate her beautiful example of fulfilling God’s Will in her life.

Science week

This week we have been exploring many science concepts, it was even incorporated in our fruit shop where we made natural inks from avocados, spinach and blackberries. Some of the experiments we have completed this week are: cloud in a jar, magic milk and rainbow celery.

Book Week

We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week next week. The theme this year is ‘Dreaming with eyes open’.  Stingrays are invited to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character on Monday 22^nd August. Lobsters and Turtles will participate with the Primary School on Wednesday 24^th August, we will be parading through the school carpark (it will be closed off!) at 9am. Feel free to stick around for some photos.

Floriade

Every year we participate in the Rotary Club Floriade Gnome display, as part of this the ELC would usually travel out to Floriade to see our gnomes and the beautiful surrounds. Unfortunately, this year we will be unable to travel out to Floriade for an excursion due to covid safety measures. We will however be creating our own mini Floriade here at the ELC. Keep your eyes out for what will be popping up in our gardens very soon.

Car park

Please DO NOT park in the allocated disable parking bays unless you have a permit sticker. These spaces are used by members of our community who require them.

Covid and Illness

As you are aware there are a number of illnesses circulating in the community at the moment as well as Covid. Please ensure you follow all the usual precautions, keep your children at home if they are unwell and let the ELC office know of any Covid cases. If you require any RAT kits please ask at the front office.
