Prayer for Encouragement

Lord of Hope, 

Please encourage me with Your love and truth. 

I ask that You lift me out of despair and worry. 

In these dark times, please counsel and guide me with Your Word. 

Help me to rise above my circumstances and place my confidence in Your goodness and compassion. Holy Spirit, remind me that I can do all things through You, for You are my strength and my song. Amen.

Vinnies Winter Appeal

Thank you to everyone who so generously donated items or gold coins during our fundraising efforts for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal at the end of last term. Matt from St Vincent de Paul was thrilled with the amount of donations our community was able to collect, and assured us that many of the donations would go out to people in need that very same night. In total we raised just over $180 and had enough donations to fill the Night Patrol van. Thank you everyone!

Confirmation 2022

A reminder that registration for the Sacrament of Confirmation will close on August 4th. This Sacrament is open to Year 6 students (and older) who have been baptised and made their first Reconciliation and first Eucharist. Registration is available through the Parish’s Qkr! site.

The key dates for Confirmation this year are as follows:

26th July: Information Evening, St John Vianney’s Church, 6pm

4th August: Registration closes

7th August: Commitment Mass, St John Vianney’s Church, 9am

7th August: Formation Session 1, St John Vianney’s School, 10am

14th August: Formation Session 2, St John Vianney’s School, 10am

21st August: Formation Session 3, St John Vianney’s School, 10am

28th August: Formation Session 2, St John Vianney’s School, 10am

31st August: Reflection Evening, St John Vianney’s Church, 6pm

6th September: Sacrament of Confirmation, St John Vianney’s Church, 

A reminder that if you are unable to attend the Sunday formation sessions for any reason there will be a Tuesday night option at 5:30pm. The dates for these are 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th of August.
