Two stories from today from 2JB

On Thursday at 10am, 2JB went to the Vinnie’s Van. A night patrol van. It was so cool because there was a kitchen in the back of the van. Fergus and Elsie were helping.

On Thursday at 10am, 2JB went to see the Vinnie’s Van. Two of us got to pretend to be members and one of us pretended to be a homeless stranger.
The van gives out hot milo, coffee, jackets, blankets and more.

On Thursday at 10am, 2JB went to the Vinnie’s Van. Matthew talked to us about how he helps people who are homeless at night. In the van there are jackets, clothes, sleeping bags, food and drinks. At night, Matthew goes around Canberra in the Vinnie’s Van and helps people who are homeless. He also talked to us about how we can help homeless people by donating clothes and food to Vinnie’s.
Both 5/6P and 5/6J enjoyed working with clay as part of their Visual Arts unit exploring line and texture. Students created patterned tiles to experiment with creating different effects with clay.
