A message from the Assistant Principal and Mrs D's "Thought of the Week"
12th August 2022
The Walk-a-thon is a route of approximately 5kms and is an opportunity for our community to exercise, as well as raising funds to purchase new furniture for the classrooms.
Our current plan is for children to walk the course together with family, with the help of parents at check points along the way. Our intention is to still participate in the ‘colour fun’ at the end of the day.
The children will receive a booklet outlining how just $10 will ensure a reward and instructions on how students can begin the fundraising. The more money raised the better their reward. The easiest way to help your child raise money is by using the online format and setting up a personalised profile page at schoolfundraising.com.au and sharing your online fundraising link with family and friends. Social media could be an easier way to connect with family near and far.
In the coming week the SRC will officially launch the event and outline prizes for individuals and classes who are leading the charge with raising funds.
Our school fundraising target is $6000. These funds will assist in purchasing new student lockers and updating classroom student desks. Children will begin the event by walking around the community with their peers, enjoy a sausage sizzle and ending the day by being splattered with colour.
