Preschool News
Happy Birthday Edward P, Carter G
We had our first incursion this Tuesday, Ryka is from Yidinji country and he shared some dress items, tools and instruments from his culture and taught us some new songs and dances.
The Lobsters had their first fruit shop on Wednesday. Thank you to the Rae family from the primary school for providing our mystery fruit this week, fresh from their garden. We were all surprised to learn about Cucamelons which look like watermelons, are the size of grapes and taste like cucumbers. Thanks also to Maxwell for bringing in an orange mini capsicum from his grandma’s garden.
Project Compassion
During Lent, children are welcome to bring in donations for Project Compassion to help people living in poverty. For every $3 donated we will contribute rice to the class jar. At the end of Lent we will cook and share the rice.
Parent Reps
Thank you to Bianca Barlow (mum of Bethany in the Turtles), Pip Swayn (mum of Eddie in the Stingrays) and Elina Dimanoski (mum of Aliya in the Lobsters) who have volunteered to be the ELC parent reps for this year. They will be in touch with families to organise an email list and social events.
Uniform Shop Super Sunday Sale
If you need extra ELC uniforms, Mullyduds will be open on Sunday 20 March from 1-3pm for new and second hand uniforms.
Covid-19
If your child returns a positive Covid test, you must notify ACT Health immediately and contact the ELC office so that contact tracing can begin. If there is a positive case within the centre, we will notify all families to inform you of the risks during any identified contact time. If your child is required to isolate, we can apply the Covid Gap Fee Discount to your account.
