KEEPING HEALTHY!

Keeping your people out of harm's way and Are you Okay?

With the announcement of more Covid lockdowns we find ourselves in interesting times and I wanted to ask, are you okay? I’ve noticed a lot of people close to me struggling this month. Friends, family, and those who would normally be doing just fine, are not. And all for different reasons. Not seeing our families is hard. Not being with our colleagues is hard. Connecting with people only over zoom is hard. And missing out on human contact is tough.

Last week I had a chat with some of our team and we quickly discovered some people have stopped doing the basics. People who used to exercise daily, have stopped working out. Others who were good with sleep or food are staying up late or not eating well.

There are lots of things we can’t control right now but there are also many things we can, like sleep, exercise, and diet. I told our team - keep exercising, eat well, sleep well, and talk about how you are feeling, which will feel different everyday.

The more we open up, talk to each other, and be honest about how we’re feeling right now, the more we give others the opportunity to do the same.

5 Ways To Wellbeing introduces five simple and effective ways to improve your psychological and emotional health that are based on extensive international research. They are;

  1. Connect
  2. Be Active
  3. Keep Learning
  4. Be Aware
  5. Help Others
