The buzz around the school last Friday was exciting. Staff and children alike enjoyed celebrating St John Vianney's Feast Day.
The day really highlighted how doing ordinary things can truely become an extraordinary event. The staff dressed 'French' and had their own celebration in the staffroom with French Food - Brie Cheese, Frogs, French Toast and Crossiants.
On all accounts the children enjoyed their treat lunch and worked excitedly in family groups on STEM activities. I encourage you to visit the Front Foyer and see some of the results of their collaborations on display. The afternoon in the sun playing different team sports, was a perfect way to end the day.
These are some comments from the children about the day:
"We had lots of fun and thought it was interesting. We had to work together."
"It was really hard making the rollercoaster."
"I liked doing the marshmellow tower."
"It was fun working with different people."
"i enjoyed working with other age groups."
"We need another day of this. We got good thinking from the younger children."
"I enjoyed making shoes and working with different people."
"I loved making boats and teasting them with our group using blocks and water."
